The Story of Roman Remedies

A Legacy in Every Jar

My middle name is Roman. It’s a name I carry with a lot of pride because it belonged to my grandfather, who was from Chilapa, Guerrero, in Mexico. Growing up Mexican-American, I saw firsthand how our culture views plants—not just as something for a garden, but as the first step for the family. In Mexico, herbolaria (herbalism) isn't just a hobby; it’s a way of life passed down through the hands of our elders. Roman Remedies is my way of honoring that legacy and bringing that ancestral wisdom into the modern world.

 "F Around and Find Out"

I didn't start with a boardroom and a business plan. I started with a curiosity to see what these plants could actually do. My very first formula, the Soothe Salve, was literally me wanting to "f around and find out." I made it as my first salve, a tea and finally a lip repair—and the feedback was insane.

When my partner’s Aunt Eileen in Kentucky used it after a bad cooking burn and was finally get some sleep; when my Tía Mary and Silvia in Mexico started keeping it in their homes as a daily staple, I knew I had something real. That's the energy behind every product here: if it doesn't work for my family, it doesn't make it to your shelf.

The Science of the Soul

Every formula in this apothecary has a name and a face behind it. Whether it was researching heart-safe herbs for my Tía Chivis (Silvia) so she could finally rest, or perfecting my Sinus+ tincture for seasonal respiratory support.—I’m constantly studying and refining.

I’m obsessed with the "why" behind the plants. Whether it’s using Rosemary as a circulatory stimulant for my mom’s joints (just like they do in Germany) or stoking the digestive "fire" with Ginger after a big family taco night (or morning), I combine traditional Mexican remedios with deep botanical research.

From My Family to Yours

At the end of the day, Roman Remedies is about longevity, strength, and connection. It’s about the "after-dinner" infusions that keep us at the table sharing stories; the "golden healers" like Calendula that keep our skin resilient. We’re bridge-builders—connecting the traditions of Mexico with the needs of our lives today.

Welcome to the family apothecary.
